Enrolment and Course Participation

Your CPD enrolment remains valid for 6 months from the date of enrolment or 3 days before your first scheduled session, whichever date is later.

It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they enrol in the appropriate CPD course(s) and select the relevant topics required to satisfy their individual licensing and compliance requirements.

Participants must have access to a suitable computer or device to complete their CPD training.

For trainer-led virtual sessions, participants must:

Attend each scheduled session in full;

Have a functioning webcam and microphone; and

Keep their camera switched on throughout the session.

Attendance will only be recorded where participants are present and their camera remains on for the duration of the session. Late arrival, absence, or failure to maintain camera use may result in the session being recorded as incomplete. In these circumstances, course fees may be forfeited and a completion certificate will not be issued. Participants may be required to enrol and pay for a new session to complete the CPD requirement.

Payment and Fees

All course fees must be paid in full at the time of enrolment.

Course fees are non-refundable following enrolment, including in cases of cancellation, withdrawal or non-attendance, except where a refund is required under applicable Australian Consumer Law.

Brighten Institute Australia may cancel an enrolment if payment has not been received in full within 7 days of the invoice date or scheduled session date, whichever occurs first.

Changes to Scheduled Sessions

If you are unable to attend your scheduled session and wish to transfer your enrolment, you must submit your request in writing.

Transfers are subject to session availability and approval by Brighten Institute Australia. The following transfer fees apply:

Transfer Request Received:
- More than 2 weeks before the scheduled session: $20 (inc. GST)
- Between 2 weeks and 48 hours before the scheduled session: $40 (inc. GST)
- Less than 48 hours before the scheduled session: Fees forfeited; transfer unavailable and a new enrolment required

Extension of Enrolment Period

An extension beyond the standard 6-month enrolment period may be requested by application.

All extension requests are assessed individually and are subject to approval by Brighten Institute Australia. Approved extensions are charged at $30 per month, with a maximum extension of 3 additional months.

Completion Certificates

Following successful completion of a CPD course, Brighten Institute Australia will issue the participant’s completion certificate by email within 10 business days.

Participants are responsible for keeping their completion certificates and maintaining their own training records.

A $30 fee per certificate applies where a certificate needs to be re-issued or resent.

Privacy and Information Handling

Brighten Institute Australia collects and maintains participant information and training records for the purposes of administering enrolments, monitoring course participation and completion, issuing certificates, and meeting applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other applicable Australian privacy and data protection legislation.
