General
We are committed to supporting you throughout your learning journey. As a student, you'll have access to a range of support services, including Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assistance, trainer support, live webinars, our online Learning Management System (LMS), assessment guidance, learning resources, online help, and student forums. Whether you need academic assistance, technical support, or help navigating your course, our team is here to ensure you have the support you need to succeed.
All students complete an LLN assessment prior to commencement of training. This
enables us to identify any individual support or special learning needs that may need to be considered for some students throughout
their course. Where students are identified as requiring additional assistance during this process, reasonable adjustments will be
implemented in the form of delivery, assessment and/ or training, to support these learners.
Brighten Institute Australia is committed to providing a student-centred learning experience across all of its nationally recognised training programs. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are equipped with the resources, guidance, and assistance they need to achieve their educational and career goals. Our Student Handbook outlines the rights and responsibilities of both students and the Institute, fostering a collaborative partnership that promotes academic success, personal development, and positive learning outcomes.
Brighten Institute Australia is committed to ensuring that all complaints, grievances and appeals are managed fairly, confidentially and in a timely manner. We have established policies and procedures to provide students with a transparent process for raising concerns or appealing decisions.
All complaints and appeals are documented in writing, and students are given the opportunity to formally present their case. Once a decision has been made, students will receive a written response outlining the outcome and the reasons for the decision.
In the first instance, complaints and appeals are reviewed internally by the appropriate member of the management team, with the aim of resolving the matter promptly and fairly. Appeals relating to training or assessment decisions should be submitted within four months of the original decision.
