Delivery Mode & Course Duration:  This course is delivered through a blended approach, combining online, self-paced learning with face-to-face practical assessments Students will only need to attend in-person sessions for the assessment of practical skills. Most of the theoretical learning is completed online, providing students with flexibility to work through the material at their own pace and in a way that aligns with their individual learner needs. Learners are provided with up to two weeks to complete the online material. Once completed, they can schedule the practical session to finalise the course.  

Unit of Competency:  Upon successful completion of all learning and assessment, learners will be issued a Statement of Attainment of ‘SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety’.

There are no entry requirements for the qualification, however, you must have: 

• • USI (Unique Student Identifier) number 
  • A valid and current email address
  • Completed a LLN assessment (Language, Literacy & Numeracy test) 
  • Have access to a reliable PC, laptop or tablet computer
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and word processing software such as Microsoft Office suite. 

Students who successfully complete this skillset will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. Achievement of this unit provides credit for qualifications in a range of different training packages.
